1992, 16(4): 202-205.
Abstract:
The working principle and main circuits of laser dynamic detector are introduced in this paper. While a tested workpiece passes the laser-beam of the detector, the detector will automatically display the climensions of the workpiece with the signal process circuit. The detector is a high accuracy, rapid speed and non-contact measuring instrument.

Luo Bin, Chen Jianguo, Lu Yucun
1992, 16(4): 206-209.
Abstract:
With the aid of multi-step trials, the active monitoring method adopted to control the deposition of the AR coatings on the facets of the semiconductor lasers has been optimized. As a result,a travelling-wave semiconductor amplifier with an average facet reflectivity of less than 3×10-4 has been obtained, and 20dB signal gain at 1.3μm has been observed.
The decision of operating condition of CO2 waveguide laser
Ma Yangwu, Chen Yuqing
1992, 16(4): 210-214.
Abstract:
The relationship between operating state and cavity cons-truct parameters of waveguide CO2 laser is investigated.Compared with parameter λ/a,Fresnel number N is direct and quantitative in deciding the operating state of CO2 waveguide laser. And researches also show that CO2 laser with N≤1 is a typcal waveguide laser. The research results have distinct meanings in designing CO2 waveguide laser.

He Anzhi, Yu Guiying, Ni Xiaowu, Fan Huaying
1992, 16(4): 215-217.
Abstract:
In this paper,an application of black-and-white(ASA5) combined with a specialized developer instead of holo film as a new recording medium for dynamic speckle is reported. With this recording medium, double pulse dynamic laser specklc patterns for real bodies are obtained.
The index distribution and imaging property of planar microlenses
Zhu Chuangui, Xue Mingqiu, Liu Desen, Gao Yingjun
1992, 16(4): 218-224.
Abstract:
In this paper,a simple and clear index expression of planar microlenses is obtained through actually measuring the index distribution and mathematically simulating. The index function is the sum of decomposed functions of radial distance and axial distance.By using the basical optical equation, the ray trace is calculated and these equations describing the imaging property of planar microlenses are derived. In this paper, the numerical aperture and the effect of the swelled structure are also discussed.

Review of airborne laser bathymetry
Gu Jianhui, Huazhong
1992, 16(4): 229-234.
Abstract:
The technology of airborne laser bathymetry has been developing rapidly since it first appeared in America and Australia in the middle of 1960's.Compared with the traditional technology of sonar detection,it is characteristic of hoghly tactical flexibility, rapid survey rate and particularly useful for coastal waters. There are also a lot of civilian application in many areas.

1992, 16(4): 238-241.
Abstract:
The article presents our experimental procedure of N-B alloying in the 45 steel surface by a CO2 laser beam. The phase structure, the distribution of the elements, the microstructure, the hardness and the resistance to abrasion of the alloy layer are examined and analyzed. The results indicate that the alloy layer will provide many strengthening effects.

Abstract:
Using the transfer matrix,we have studied the transmission characteristics of Gaussian beam propagating through a reversal parabolic GRIN rod, such as beam spot radius, the relation between the curvature radius of wavefront and the matrix elements.Bases on the stady,we also consider the reversal parabolic GRIN rod can be used as a laser collimation element.

Analysis on property of Brewster polarizer for spherical wave
Xia Shengan, Li Guohua, Li Jizhong
1992, 16(4): 252-257.
Abstract:
By means of electromagnetic theory of light, this paper analyses the polarization state distribution of emergent light while the spherical wave front of the light is reflected by a Brewster polarizer. We find the device is not perfect, except in a special line. The result is useful for studying polarization aberration of Brewster polarizer in non-plane wave.
