The laser radiation propagation through atmosphere-ocean is discussed in this paper.The reflection property on the interface between air and ocean water and the attenuation of laser in ocean water are recommended in detail.Lastly,the detectability of airborne-laserbathymeter is estimated according to typical parameters in current lever.

Abstract:
The output characteristics of the high output power transverse flow CO2 (helium-free) laser influenced by the steady resistances are studied experimentally and the optimum parameters of steady resistances are determined.When the total pressure is 60 Torr with the gas mixture of CO2:Ar:N2=1.5:10:10,the output power reaches 2.5kW,with an efficiency of 16.9%.The output power fluctuations are ±3% during twelve hours' operation.

Abstract:
Experimental evidence shows the polarization characteristics of the external cavity He-Ne lasers to be determined mainly by the birefringence of the gas discharge tube.Measuring and theoretical analysis on birefringence of several typical tubes have been carried out.Single-mode linear polarization output can be obtained by means of exerting a suitable radial mechanical pressure to the window plate of the gas discharge tube.

Abstract:
The analysis of optical depolarization characteristics of mineral chalcedony and another invisible multi-crystal mineral Sju Jade points out a way to find the scattering depolarization materials in the invisible multi-crystal minerals.The result shows that it is important that the minerals have the properties of high transmissivity and multicrystal-granule-colloid structure.

Abstract:
The degree of polarization of a CO2 laser can experimentally measured by using a Brewster window.Let the CO2 laser pass through a ZnSe Brewster window which is rotated around the optical axis and measure the laser power density of reflection and reflection beam in different angles.By means of the experimental mesuring,the degree of polarization and model of CO2 laser under the condition of discharge current can qualititatively obtained.

Abstract:
This paper presents the results of 100 laser concerning the use of Nd:YAP laser inrradiation at Ashi point and Hoku point for analgesia in drawing-tooth.It shows that the percentage of exccllent and good results is 80% for permanent tooth and 93.3% for milky tooth.This method has been proved to be practical and superior to He-Ne laser in analgesia.

Abstract:
A novel polarization-independent beam-splitter made of birefringent crystal plate is provided.Choosing the thickness of the plate and orientating the optical axis properly,the ratio of reflected and transmitted light can be a constant and irrelative to polarization of laser output.The general analysis and experimental measurement of a quartz plate is introduced.The fluctuation of the ratio is limited within 0.2 dB with the variation of incident polarization azimuth.

This paper discusses the lifetime of F2-centers in LiF crystal and effect of differennt operating parameters on characteristics of Q-switching lasers.The experimental results are in reasonable agreement with the values given by theory model.
