The linewidth of an external cavity semiconductor laser(LD) is presented quantum-mechanically.The best feedback conditions are given for the suppression of LD linewidth.

Abstract:
There is a reducing-enlarging relation between the dimension and the diffracting intensity for an aperture.This relation may be used for the engineering measurement of tiny dimension.In this paper the reducing-enlarging theorem is developed.The measuring formulas used for slits and apertures,and the expresions of the correcting factor for the photoelectric receiving with an area are given.In the paper the results of measuring experiment to take filaments for example are also given.

In this article a comprehensive analysis of the extinction tese theory for the pulse laser rangefinder has been provided.An elegant method for calculating the extinction value of LRF and a concrete schemer of the extinction test,aleso a new method of atmospheric attenation coeffcient measurement according to twice extinction testing data were suggested by the author.

An audio-visual compater-drafting simulating way--double tangency light line spin way is given and used to design pump cavity in the repetition rate raser.In this way the optimum efficiency and dimensions of the pump cavity are determined.The diameter and length of the xenon lamp matching the laser rod are defined according to the diameter and length of the YAG rod.The diameter of cooling passage in the pump reflector is calculated by computer sinrulation.
