The present and fUtUre development of solid-state laser
Cai Bangwe
1987, 11(1): 1-5.
Abstract:
In this paper a short review on the solid-state laser market in the recent years is given. The characteritis and important applications of solid-state lasers are summarized. Finally, their future development is estimated.

Efficiency of the laser with BDN dye Q-switch
Zhou Tianwen, Jiang Yongsheng
1987, 11(1): 26-30.
Abstract:
The efficiency η of the laser with BDN dye Q-switch is a function oftwo variables,T0 and R.(Namely,T0—transmittance of Q-switch,R—reflectance of output window). We can give the function of two variables η-η(R,T0) represented by a curved surface above the R,T0-plane.This gra-ph clearly shows how η varies with R and T0,As shown,η will be in thevicinity of the peak value when R is approximately equal to T0.

Optimum design of the voltage addition Q-switch circuit
Zhang Jianhua
1987, 11(1): 31-33,50.
Abstract:
A canonical silicon-controlled transformer is adopted in the voltageaddition Q-switch circuit. The experimental results have proved that thiscircuit is able to suppress post-laser pulses effectively, and to make laserpulse-width adjustable within a certain range.
Analytic reseach on CO-molecule in a CO2 laser

1987, 11(1): 34-39.
Abstract:
In this paper the effect of CO-molecule on the performence and charic-terastic of a seal-type CO2 laser was described. The reaction-dynamics pro-cess among CO2,CO,N2 and O2 was analysed. And the method tempera-ture distribution of the laser was measured.

Pstitioning the receiving field stop of a laser range-finder with a correcting plate
Yu Zhiwun
1987, 11(1): 44-47.
Abstract:
During setting and adjusting a laser range-finder,it is oftenmet how to position the receiving field stop. The wrongposition of the stop will result in a decrease in theperformances of a range-finder.This paper describes amethod of positioning the receiving field stop with acorrecting plate.According to the method, the receiving fieldstop will be positioned by D ray (λ=5893Å)as long asthe correcting plate is inserted into the optical path ofthe laser receiver. This method has been proved to besuccessful in the real applications.

Laser reflection coefficients ot primary explosives
Lu Jiancun
1987, 11(1): 51-54.
Abstract:
The principles of the measurement of the laser reflection coefficients of some primary explosives have been discussed and the experiment arrangement used has been described. The results of the laser reflection coefficients of five primary explosives have been obtained as well.
